We are your alternative to high prices.
Welcome to Horse Tack Supply
FYI: Before we bought our own .com we began by searching the web for horse tack and supplies for ourselves and found it to be an area that was lacking. The prices that we found were high and the selection less than adequate. Since we had dealt in horses, as well as tack, for many years we decided that it was time to put a "real" western tack site online. We wanted to be a site that would offer "real" prices for "real" items.
We purchase many stock overruns, discontinued and one of a kind items to keep our prices low. We will be around when many other internet sites fold and leave the web. WHY? Because even though we do want to make some money ... that is not why we are here. We are here to provide people, like us, with a "real" option for those who are looking for a "real" alternative to high prices. Dealing in tack is something we love doing. It has been a hobby of ours for over 30 years.
We are a home-based family operated hobby/business. Which means that we operate from our home with the help of our grown children as well as our grandchildren with the many diverse tasks it takes to operate it. Differing ones at differing times accompany us on buying trips as well as load, unload, put stock away, make inventory lists, take photos, edit photos, update the website, update the shopping cart database, edit the web pages, pack, ship and the list goes on. Our son David is our very competent webmaster, he is a web designer and webmaster for numerous other sites as well. Our daughter Samantha is our very competent amateur photographer. Many of our grandchildren help out including our youngest one 9 year old Angel. She is great at helping grandpa gather the items needed to fill the orders.
We generally spend our weekends, and some weekdays, purchasing new items for our site and replenishing dwindling, or out of stock, items when we can.
Therefore even though there is generally someone here, Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there are weekdays when there is not. Since we do operate as a hobby/business our profit margin is low therefore our prices are equally low.
We do spend time doing other things. We all enjoy camping, caving, horse back riding, bike riding, going to Holiday World (our local amusement park) and many other activities with our children and grandchildren on the weekends.
We thank you for stopping by and visiting our site. We hope your visit is a pleasant one. If you have an idea on how we could improve our site let us know.
